International Coming Out Day (11 October) is a reminder that coming out is more than a single moment—it’s something LGBTQ+ people do throughout their lives. As a gay man married with twin boys I never thought I could have when I was younger and closeted, I know how freeing it is to live authentically. But coming out isn’t just a one-time event; it’s an ongoing journey of being true to ourselves. My hope is that the younger generation finds it easier to embrace who they are, without fear or shame, and knows that love and family are possible!
